I am wondering which trapezoid shape is correct in the attached figures. I have attached two figures. Each showing a 6 layers stackup. In the stackup editor there is an option to chose the top/bottom for the trapezoid trace. I am not sure which one make sense when it comes to manufacturing. Kindly have a look and suggest the correct position of trapezoid on the routing layers.
I can guess Figure 1 has correct position of the trapezoid in which the wider side of the trapezoid is towards the core.
Figure 1 is the correct one.
