Calibration/De-embedding traces

This is not a performance question, but I’m working on a “high” frequency board out to 20GHz or so. I want copies of my input & output traces for calibration/de-embedding purposes. This board is small maybe 2x2", and I don’t need the calibration traces on every board, but maybe one per lot. Can this be done without creating another individual board schematic a layout?

This sounds like a coupon on a panel. Would a standard coupon work for you?
If not, a second board might be required.

Yes. Fab houses do create coupons for their TDR testing for characteristic impedance of course, but I recently learned one can also specify these coupons.

If controlled impedance is requested the TDR specific coupon is automatically created on the panel.

A special coupon can be added, but the customer will need to supply the art work. So, it likely would need another individual schematic and layout.
