I read in the e-book that one laser drill cost the same as 10,000 laser drill. Is that true ? Does this means that the all the laser drill is one operation ? meaning all the drills are done in one go ?

How do we define if the layout software if the signal via has to be laser drill or mechanical drill ?

Is laser drill only for microvia and blind via ?

Can laser drill also possible to throw hole via ?

Yes, that is true. The cost hides in the machine setup. Once that is done, it doesn’t matter whether you have 1 or 1,000 laser drills.

Laser drilling is for holes smaller than 6mils.
