I just want to share a question that a customer asked me last week: Is there any drawback to using via filing?

My answer is: The only drawback for via filling is the actual filling process is a bit complex but this is far outweighed by the advantages. Can’t beat it when via-in–pad or thermal stitching is required. Here at Sierra we fill around 30,000,000 holes per month so definitely a viable process.
